Kinder

Banksia is taught by Mrs Macklin and Mrs Campbell.

The children have settled in well at school and are having fun learning to read, write, draw and count. They especially enjoy singing songs, dancing and doing sport.

English/Literacy

RAP reading (Reading with Parents) has begun and the children are enjoying reading with parents and taking the books home. It takes place every morning on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The children are having fun in their Language Groups, making new friends and learning to cooperate. Activities include playing in the sandpit, building with blocks, water play, painting, playdough, writing and drawing on chalkboards and whiteboards.

Mathematics

Maths Groups have begun and are held on a Monday and Friday morning. The children are learning about numbers and mathematical concepts through games. Teachers and Parents work with small groups.
