Menai had an ESL Targeted Support Program which provides a specialist
teacher 2 days per week. 26.61% school’s population come from a Language
Background Other Than English
(LBOTE) - those children whose parents/guardians speak a language other
then English at home. The school makes it a priority to meet the needs of these ESL
students and the ESL teacher, Mrs. Garner, also works collaboratively with
all staff in planning, programming and delivering quality programs.

Support Teacher Leaning Assistance
Menai Primary School
students in Kindergarten to Year 6 may receive assistance from the
support teacher learning (STLA). Ms Eagle provides assistance in the
forms of individual instruction,
group work or team teaching.
